Going From Launching In Eclipse to Launching from Desktop Icon?

Hi guys,

There is one thing that puzzles me. Something that the book I read (Absolute Java 5th Edition) Didn't tell me (Well I didn't see anyhow) how do you get from launching some java code in eclipse to launching a java program from your desktop It might sound like a silly question but my lecturer never told me....

Does one somehow wrap the code in C+ to make it a .exe? take for example Mine-Craft.

Its build in Java however launches as a .exe

If you feel so inclined just point me in the correct direction if you don't feel like typing and I can read from there.
